S.F.S School aims at integral development of the pupil through academic excellence, co-curricular activities and conductive atmosphere to bloom and unfold hidden potentialities. The focus of academic activities is towards enrich-ment of the total personality of the learners. GENERAL INFORMATION St. Francis De Sales School is a Christian Minority Institution administered by the Catholic Archdiocese of Nagpur. The school is conducted by Sisters of St. Joseph of Chambery who have dedicated their lives to God and are committed zealously responding to the needs of the times, rendering devoted service in the field of education and upliftment of Humanity. Our Institution has faithfully adhered to the ideal of Integration trying to bring about a harmonious blending of the spiritual values with the secular modernity with heritage, competitiveness with cooperation, technology with humanism, self-radiance with social sensitivity. The school follows the CBSE pattern and is upgraded to the higher level in the coming years up to class X. The school promotes co-education and admits any child irrespective of caste, creed, colour and religion. The medium of instruction is English and spoken English is given a greater emphasis. Marathi and Hindi are compulsory subjects. The school focuses on the all-round development of the students. St. Francis De Sales, Bishop and Doctor of the Church, was born on August, 21, 1567 at the Castle of Sales, near Annecy in Savoy. He was ordained in 1593, and became Bishop of Geneva on December 28, 1622. He died at Lyons, France, December at the age of 56. For while he touched the lives of thousands during his life, hundreds of thousands and millions have been inspired by his wise and loving counsels since his death. Today among the faithful, after the lapse of three centuries, he is still the beloved counsellor of an ever widening circle of admirers and clients. St. Francis is the Apostle of Cheerfulness and Hope. His words are full of holy optimism, and so replete with common-sense that no one can read them without encouragement, and without experiencing some portion of that divine love and hope which are characteristics of this most amiable Saint.
